Why 560.com?

I   was   trying   to   think   of   a   name   for   a   website   that   would   allow   me   to   do   anything   I   wanted   without   being   restrictive.      I decided   to   use   560.com.   It   was   the   dial   position   of   my   favorite   radio   station,   WQAM,   and   would   not   limit   the   various things   I   intended   to   do.   One,   was   a   tribute   site   for   WQAM,   my   favorite   radio   station   when   I   was   a   teenager.   Another   was radio   ID   jingle   collecting   (a   by-product   of   listening   to   WQAM’s   jingles)   and   the   other   was   my   interest   in   Railroads   and photographing them. 560.com was the perfect name.

WQAM Tribute and Jingle Collecting

I loved WQAM. We moved to Florida when I was in my early teens and was just getting interested in listening to radio and rock and roll music. I discovered WQAM and wouldn’t listen to any other station. They played the best music, had the best DJs, contests and one more thing, jingles. I loved WQAM’s jingles as much as the music and even called and requested jingles! Later, jingle collecting would become a big hobby of mine. My assistants I’ve had three very helpful assistants. They’re always laying in my lap, on my arms, the keyboard, on things I’m trying to read, standing in front of the monitor and wanting to play.  But I couldn’t do this without them. They are my cats, Scotty, Trigger and Ralph. Rest In Peace Scotty Feb. 1991 - May 16, 2011 Tigger ~1998 - March 1, 2017 I lost Scotty to old age after 20 years and Tigger, also to old age, after 18 years. They were my faithful companions and always at my side day and night. Tigger and Scotty together again.                 This is a personal site and is not affiliated with WQAM, PAMS of Dallas or any railroad company.
