My brother was with me on this trip, my first trip to Pennsylvania to see the places I saw in my favorite book, "Pennsy Power". We walked West from the Horseshoe Curve up the hill and around the bend a little way. And along came a PC freight led by PRR U28C 6523 blasting around the curve. Can't see the rest of the train but I like the way the engine is leaning into the curve. Oh, and don't mention that I am standing right in the middle of one of the busiest railroad mainlines in the country! Oh, to be young and foolish again. July 1970 |
